In 2023, Andy Green led HII Mission Technologies to achieve record growth, as announced in the company’s third-quarter earnings call. Following a year of integrating businesses, the division improved its operations and secured over $5 billion in contracts. The main areas of growth were in providing support to Defense Department customers in artificial intelligence, cyber and electronic warfare, advanced modeling and simulation and C5ISR.
Green and his leadership team also launched the inaugural Mission Technologies Impact Awards recognizing 78 employees for outstanding performance in areas aligning with the division’s strategic priorities: People and Culture, Shareholder Value, Service Delivery, Brand Awareness, Growth, Technical Capabilities and Business Integration.
“Everyone at HII makes an impact,” Green said at the award ceremony. “It’s who we are and what we do. It’s our mission.”

Technical capabilities are a cornerstone among the strategic priorities of Mission Technologies. These capabilities are central to its “Mission Ready. All Domain.” brand elevation marketing campaign and pivotal in its representation at more than 40 trade shows in 2023.
Additionally, HII launched its inaugural Technology Day, highlighting 20 key capabilities at its facility in Patuxent River, Maryland. The company also expanded its innovation footprint with a new advanced technology center in Syracuse, New York.
Emphasizing community involvement, Green led over 400 employees and their families in Mission Technologies’ fourth annual Global Day of Caring, demonstrating the company’s commitment to social responsibility.
In a year marked by unprecedented growth, Mission Technologies welcomed more than 1,200 new employees and upheld its reputation for delivering top-tier service to its clients.
