    Bill Monet

    President & CEO, Akima

Bill Monet’s major recent accomplishment was acquiring and integrating Pinnacle Solutions into Akima. This decision was part of Akima’s strategy to expand into new markets. Pinnacle Solutions was selected for its good cultural, geographic, and technical alignment. It has proven to be a valuable addition to Akima’s logistics and aviation portfolio. Monet is enthusiastic about the benefits this brings to Akima, its customers and its NANA shareholders.

“The heart of progress lies in our ability to see beyond the traditional and embrace the potential of what could be,” he said. “In every sector we touch, Akima is there, driving transformation for a smarter, more efficient government.”

    Why Watch

The next 12 months are expected to be very promising for Akima. Monet sees significant potential in the ongoing technological advancements and the chance to approach customer challenges with fresh perspectives. Akima has been increasingly assisting clients in transforming how they handle and use information for their missions. The company is focused on using emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and machine learning to enhance and speed up digital transformation in government sectors.

Akima’s unique structure allows it to provide a distinctive and entrepreneurial approach to its customers. This approach is currently in high demand, and the company plans to continue offering innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of its clients.

Fun fact: Monet recently combined his passions for architecture and photography in the design of Akima’s headquarters in Herndon, Virginia. He worked with an architectural firm to design and furnish the office space. “The result is both culturally driven and functional, and I am pleased that our headquarters translates Akima’s rich Iñupiat heritage and values into a modern workplace,” he said.
