Jennifer Beatley
Vice President of Intelligence & Homeland Security, Oracle
Technology has played a key role in the transformation of the public sector, according to Jennifer Beatley. However, there are some areas the sector has not fully explored, leaving room for potential challenges for the year ahead.
One challenge within the public sector is to accelerate the adoption of interoperable and innovative solutions around multi-cloud, which has been slow to this point. Multi-cloud platforms have become critical as agencies are now hyperfocused on having multiple platforms that are easy to integrate and share data without loss of performance.
Another challenge within the public sector are security vulnerabilities. Most government institutions have archaic legacy systems that can be playgrounds for bad actors. Hence the importance of modernizing existing systems to bolster security and become more agile, Beatley said.
“Jennifer is an engaging, empathetic leader who is transforming Oracle’s cloud business,” said Kim Lynch, executive vice president at Oracle. “Under her distinguished leadership, Oracle has continued to deliver innovative data-driven solutions that are cost-effective and contribute to the success of our customers.”
Why Watch
At Oracle, Beatley and her team’s mission for the year ahead is to continue to help customers see data in new ways, discover insights and unlock endless possibilities through Oracle’s cloud solution offerings in the public sector. Oracle can achieve this by enabling customers to embrace and adopt multi-cloud to advance mission objectives.
“I am proud to be part of Oracle’s evolution as a hyperscale cloud provider,” Beatley said. “Our long-standing relationship with the United States government has allowed us to become a strategic technology partner that serves an important global role, providing enterprise solutions across industries.”
