    Mark Brunner

President of Public Sector, Primer AI

In 2024, public sector entities will face the challenge of the government’s slow technology adoption rate, Mark Brunner said. To stay competitive, agencies must accelerate their pace to match technological advancements rather than moving at the traditional speed of bureaucratic processes. Failing to do so risks the nation falling behind.

It’s essential to continue expanding the innovation community’s access to the Defense Department and defense industrial network users. This access is crucial for private companies to develop and scale solutions effectively, which are vital for deterring war.

Additionally, the federal community has fallen into a routine of treating continuing resolutions as a standard business practice. This mindset, coupled with uncertain funding, is likely to hinder investment in emerging technologies.

“Leading the Primer Public Sector team is an unbelievable opportunity to work with the best data scientists in the world and deliver game-changing tech to our federal customers,” Brunner said. “I am fortunate to have fabulous colleagues at Primer who are developing amazing technology each day, and are truly committed to the mission.”

    Why Watch

In 2024, Brunner’s team will actively focus on delivering practical, reliable AI applications that process vast datasets, enabling customers to understand their data and bridge gaps in DOD, federal government and industrial networks. The team will maintain its industry-leading customer service, ensuring rapid deployment of the latest AI/ML technology. Additionally, it will leverage Large Language Models and custom machine learning models to transform workflows for analysts and operators.

“Mark’s three decades of public sector expertise, spanning military, diplomacy, Congress, and private sector roles, uniquely positions Primer for success,” said Primer AI CEO Sean Moriarty. “Leveraging his deep knowledge of government acquisition and extensive network, Mark plays a pivotal role in establishing Primer as a top-tier AI company.”
