In 2023, led by Peter LaMontagne, SMX purchased two companies, Creoal Consulting and Outside Analytics. These acquisitions brought new clients from the public sector, commercial industries, state/local governments and space sector to SMX. They also enhanced SMX’s skills in digital transformation, data analytics and software engineering.

With over 25 years of leadership experience, LaMontagne and his team provide next-generation support and innovative solutions to their Combatant Command clients to support acceleration of the successful execution for their clients’ most critical missions.

In 2024, LaMontagne is working on improving the company’s approach and performance, particularly in helping clients succeed using innovative methods like SMX Elevate and Elevate ISR solutions. Additionally, SMX is concentrating on growing into the space and enterprise management sectors, opportunities that arose from acquisitions made in 2023.

Fun Fact: When he’s not traveling for SMX, LaMontagne and his family live on a small island off the coast of Portland, Maine.
