Amyx, a Tetra Tech company, has appointed Rick Schult as its chief operating officer.
Schult brings over 20 years of consulting experience within the federal government. His background includes extensive experience across the Defense Department and other federal agencies, with a focus on national security.
During his time at legacy QinetiQ organizations, he established the defense business unit and generated over $1 billion in new business growth.
Recently, Schult played a key role in securing a $169 million contract with the Department of Homeland Security for Air and Marine Operations. Additionally, he contributed to developing a $2 billion project focused on imporving QinetiQ’s persistent surveillance systems to tackle global threats.
Schult’s expertise in the services Amyx provides to its clients, combined with his enthusiasm for outstanding customer service and talent development, aligns perfectly with the company, said President and CEO William Schaefer.
“His impressive background includes leadership roles overseeing Defense and Civilian markets beginning with Booz Allen Hamilton and followed by 17 years with QinetiQ and its predecessor organizations E3 Federal Solutions and Avantus Federal,” Schaefer added. “Furthermore, his experience as an executive vice president overseeing both delivery and growth organizations will help us bolster our efforts to scale and grow at speed. On behalf of the entire Amyx team, I welcome Rick to our high performing team.”
Schult has been recognized by multiple external organizations over his career. He was a Washington Business Journal “40 under 40” nominee and nominee for WashingtonExec’s “Defense Leader of the Year” Pinnacle Award.
“I’ve had first-hand experience working with Amyx leadership over the past decade,” Schult said. “I am excited to leverage my experience and eminence within this market to work alongside my new colleagues to continue growth of our capabilities and deliver exceptional support to our customers.”
