Mark your calendars for March 16, 2024, for the 42nd annual Kidney Ball.
The ball will be held at The Anthem and is one of the nation’s largest galas raising funds for the National Kidney Foundation. NKF funds go toward advancing early detection of kidney disease, removing barriers to treatment, as well as research, education, advocacy and organ donation awareness among others.
Maximus CEO Bruce Caswell is chairing the event.
The evening will feature a reception, silent auction, dinner, an inspiring mission moment and live entertainment. This year’s ball offers the option for various levels of corporate sponsorship as well as couples tickets, individual tickets, or an entertainment-only option.
March is National Kidney Month, raising awareness of the importance of kidney health. Approximately 37 million Americans are affected by chronic kidney disease, according to NKF, but only 10% of those individuals are even aware they have the disease.
The National Capital Area, encompassing southern Maryland, northern Virginia and Washington, D.C., metro area, has one of the highest rates of kidney disease in the U.S. This region alone has 700,000 people with kidney disease, 14,000 on dialysis and nearly 2,000 waiting for a transplant.
