Acclaim Technical Services has acquired Alder Technology Corp., a Chantilly, Virginia-based provider of network engineering, network security and data management services and solutions in support of national security.

“We have worked alongside the Alder team for years and have been impressed with the quality of personnel and solutions they bring to our collective customers’ hardest missions,” said Dave Cerne, ATS CEO. “We are thrilled to add them to the ATS family, enabling us to further support our customers’ needs, particularly around secure computing and network operations. Together, we will have nearly 600 talented professionals supporting the most complex national security missions.”

Combining the two firms strengthens ATS’ position as a key player in the intelligence community’s mid-market sector. This acquisition follows ATS’ previous acquisitions of Axis of Engineering, Global Consulting Services, Entegra Systems and OASIC Engineering. The Alder acquisition will help ATS expand its technology services crucial for national security missions.

“For me, their new capabilities open a whole new addressable market for us and a whole new set of offerings for our customers, and that’s what I’m really excited about,” said Yvonne Vervaet, chief growth officer at Acclaim Technical Services. “It changes the way the company is going to grow.”

Alder Technology specializes in mission IT services for Tier 1-3 networks, systems and cybersecurity solutions, specifically serving the intelligence community. The company offers continuous operational support and advanced technology integration. Its current focus includes projects like software-defined networking, cloud adoption, network automation, advanced cybersecurity, insider threat detection, and AI/ML workload infrastructure support.

These technologies and capabilities aim to improve customer operations by increasing productivity with limited resources, streamlining processes, securing client networks and systems, reducing operational costs and elevating the overall customer experience.

“Alder leadership and staff are excited to join the ATS family. We believe the strong cultural alignment to ATS means our employees will continue to thrive and that together we will find new ways to support our customers,” said Alan Young, Alder CEO. “The Alder leadership team looks forward to the new capabilities, particularly in operational and language-enabled services, that we can bring to bear on our client’s missions as well.”

G Squared acted as Alder Technology’s advisor. DLA Piper provided legal counsel for Alder, while Holland & Knight represented ATS legally. Pinnacle Financial offered banking services for the transaction.
