Vice President of Industrial Security & Corporate Facility Security Officer, Koniag Government Services

When presented with multiple job opportunities in 2020, Dr. Eric J. Reyes followed his intuition, accepted a position at Koniag Government Services and never looked back, as it gave him a unique opportunity to oversee the security needs of a rapidly growing company.

Reyes has over two decades of federal law enforcement and security experience with the FBI and the Defense Security Service. He has a Ph.D. in human capital management, an M.S. and a B.S. in criminal justice and completed the Harvard Kennedy School of Government’s Senior Executive Fellows program. With these credentials, Reyes is well suited to manage the security needs of KGS’s 21 companies and support its future growth.

“Security is not a product but a process that must evolve to stay ahead of the threat,” he said. “This cyclical framework will serve as a basis to create a comprehensive and innovative security program.”

    Why Watch

This year, Reyes will spearhead expanding KGS’ capabilities by optimizing global security operations to support field elements within the national security sector. KGS will establish on-site secured areas, enhance access control measures and increase digitization and automation of critical services.

“Rapidly evolving security threats and dynamics require agile and collaborative leadership,” said KGS CEO Kevin Wideman. “Eric’s experience in federal law enforcement and corporate security provides the background and experience needed to build out KGS’ security capabilities and maintain a focus on continuous improvement and what’s next.”
