    John Mandell

    National Security Practice Leader, Maximus

Maximus significantly grew its national security practice in recent years, largely because of John Mandell’s leadership. Since joining in early 2021, he doubled account revenues within the national security and intelligence community in just over two years. While recognizing his achievements, Mandell credits his team for its contributions to expanding Maximus into new areas.

“We’ve hired the right team and the right key leaders to drive this growth across the national security market,” explained Mandell. “The growth is important for reasons beyond the bottom line. It allows us the opportunity to fuel more innovation for our new customers by maximizing our internal technical capabilities.”

The foundation of the company’s success in these new areas comes from the ethos of Mandell’s leadership and bringing his teams together to meet increasingly complex missions.

“What sets Maximus apart is our people, and that’s very evident in our approach to solutions for our national security and intelligence clients,” he said. “These are challenging and complex missions that require us to think outside the box and bring together the best minds that our company has to offer. It’s been an exciting time because we’re constantly innovating and developing new solutions that helps agencies reach their full potential.”

    Why Watch

As Mandell looks ahead to 2024 and beyond, he says Maximus will continue to put forth new technical solutions into the market, focused on cybersecurity as well as large and integrated data solutions.

“One of our top goals is to enable a seamless digital experience for our Department of Homeland Security customers and stakeholders through our partnerships with a variety of agencies, such as TSA, CBP, FEMA and CISA,” he said.
