Cale Thorne
Vice President of Growth, National Security & Critical Infrastructure, DMI
Cale Thorne feels honored to be named to the newly established board of advisors for the Transportation Department’s National Center for Transportation Cybersecurity and Resiliency, based at Clemson University. TraCR’s mission is to expedite research, testing and modernization of U.S. transportation infrastructure security, given its increased interconnectivity.
His appointment was timely, aligning with DMI’s recent contract win to lead connected automotive projects. These efforts include setting up secure EV charging stations and were awarded by a leading industry player. Under the current administration and DOT, over $25 billion are earmarked to create a nationwide network of over 500,000 EV chargers for the public and private sectors.
Thorne’s appointment to the TraCR board reflects his unwavering commitment to national security and critical infrastructure protection, where excellence is the only option, said Trey Theimer, DMI chief growth officer.
“DMI is fortunate to have him, as his exceptional leadership and team-building skills align seamlessly with our culture of doing more and delivering more,” he added.
