John Selman
Chief Operating Officer, Amyx, Inc., A Tetra Tech Company
John Selman takes great pride in recent successes, securing contracts with new clients such as the National Nuclear Security Administration CIO and an intelligence community customer for cyber support in operational technology. He also maintained valuable relationships through re-compete wins with longstanding clients, including the Defense Logistics Agency, where Amyx excels as a top JETS vendor for IT transformation projects. Additionally, Selman facilitated Amyx’s acquisition by Tetra Tech’s Federal IT Group in January.
“It has been an amazing process and Amyx is really pleased to be part of the Tetra Tech family,” he said.
Selman takes pride in Amyx’s reputation, which he believes is best shown through others’ praise. Amyx has a 4.4 Glassdoor rating, a 97% approval for CEO Bill Schaefer, a 4.9 customer survey score and was named a Top Workplace by The Washington Post in five of the past six years. These accolades represent real feedback, not just marketing, Selman noted.
Selman attributes Amyx’s positive ratings to the company’s daily commitment to serving customers, caring for employees and impacting local communities.
“Amyx employees see it and feel it,” he said. “Our story has a ring of authenticity to it. We say what we do and do what we say. It’s simple.”
Why Watch
This year, Amyx is dedicated to addressing the high-demand requirements within the national security marketplace. This encompasses services related to cyber operational technology, industrial control systems, as well as its core offerings like eDiscovery, enterprise technology and a range of professional services including acquisition support and financial management.
“New customers are always exciting, but we continue to be committed to long-standing Amyx customers as well such as the Defense Logistics Agency and the Defense Health Agency,” Selman said. “We have developed important partnerships with each of them over the course of many years. They trust us to help them deliver their national security mission and we take that trust very seriously. We do not want to let them down.”
