    Chief People Officer, Ad Hoc

Dennis Richter recently led the refresh and rewriting of Ad Hoc’s company values in collaboration with almost 600 geographically dispersed team members, spending nearly 12 weeks incorporating feedback.

The update reflects the growth Ad Hoc has experienced since introducing the original values in 2018, as well as the company’s spirit and success and is designed to act as an anchor while Ad Hoc continues to grow.

    Why Watch

In 2023, Richter’s team will be heavily focused on standardizing job titles and career paths for all team members to reduce some of the accidental complexity resulting from Ad Hoc’s rapid growth. Simplifying the job title structure will create a clear career development and progression process and support team members and the company overall as it continues to grow.

“One of the many reasons Ad Hoc is a special place to work is that our culture is underpinned by our core values, such as the value of people first,” he said. “I’ve been in the people operations space for 20-plus years, and the one aspect that has motivated me is finding and executing ways to recognize, reward and retain the best talent. I feel fortunate to work and learn from some of the most talented people in the tech and government space.”

Chief Operating Officer Eleanor Desai said Richter has been especially adept at moving company priorities forward, maximizing impact and driving change over the last year.

“He has achieved that through not just his depth of acumen in the people space, but also his personal determination to make a difference in his own unique way,” Desai said. “I’m incredibly fortunate to call him my people partner.”
