Defense industry and public sector veteran Kay Kapoor has been appointed to Frontier Technology Inc.’s board of directors.
“Kay Kapoor brings a long and successful track record in serving customers, building high-performance teams, and leading fast-scaling defense and public sector businesses,” said Ron Shroder, CEO of FTI.
“We’re honored to welcome her to our Board of Directors and are excited to leverage her perspective and counsel as FTI continues to grow.”
The company said Kapoor’s experience leading government technology-focused organizations brings valuable insights to FTI, and expands its access to federal and defense industry leaders.
Kapoor is the founder and CEO of Arya Technologies, which provides growth strategy advisory services to companies and private equity firms.
Kapoor previously led AT&T’s Global Public Sector organization as its president and served as chair and CEO of Accenture Federal Services. Before that, she spent 20 years with Lockheed Martin Corp., ultimately as vice president and chief operating officer of its 13,000-employee Information System and Global Solutions Civil business unit.
“Under incredible pressure, the DoD and IC must analyze more data than ever to make mission-critical decisions in real-time,” Kapoor said. “Yet these institutions are continually challenged by resource and time constraints. FTI solves these complex challenges for DoD and IC customers every day. I am pleased to join its Board at this important time in its evolution as it embarks on its next phase of innovation and growth.”
Kapoor joins existing FTI board members Ron Shroder, FTI chair and CEO; Lester Lyles, retired four-star general and former commander, Air Force Materiel Command at the Wright-Patterson Air Force base in Ohio; Jim Rogers, retired two-star Army general with a decade of leadership experience at Lockheed Martin; Bill Bowser, a seasoned C-level executive with over 30 years of federal contracting experience; and Mark Hughes, chief financial officer at Advanced Concepts and Technologies International.
