    Julie Vida Joins ManTech as Defense Sector VP of Growth

    Julie Vida has joined ManTech as vice president of growth for the defense sector, reporting to Defense General Manager and Executive Vice President David Hathaway.

    Vida will lead the business development, capture and proposal operations teams in addition to developing strategic plans and supervising client-focused planning with an eye on defense sector growth.

    Before joining ManTech, Vida was group vice president and chief strategy advisor for public sector at Splunk. She also served as vice president and executive partner at Gartner, advising and coaching federal chief information officers and IT senior leaders.

    Before industry, she served for 24 years in the U.S. Navy, including 20 years as a surface warfare officer and naval aviator in various combatant ships and helicopter squadrons.

    Vida was decorated with the Navy Air Medal for superior airmanship and bravery in armed conflict during Operation Enduring Freedom following the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. She retired as a commander in 2012, beginning a technology career in the public sector.
