The Boy Scouts of America National Capital Area Council will honor Maximus President and CEO Bruce Caswell with the Technology Good Scout Award, recognizing him as an outstanding leader in the technology industry.
The award is given to area tech leaders who exemplify the values of the Scout Oath and Law in daily life.
Caswell was named CEO and director of Maximus in April 2018 and has served as president since October 2014. He has held numerous senior leadership roles overseeing all segments of the company’s business since joining Maximus in 2004.
With over 30 years of public sector health and human services program and operational experience, Caswell is driven by seeing the difference Maximus can make in people’s lives. He once told WashingtonExec it’s the last-mile connection to the consumer “where you have an opportunity to really understand the issues that they’re facing and make a difference in their lives.”
“What is really exciting now is how Maximus is transforming the experience with the intersection of traditional customer service tools and new digital enhancements,” he said. “Not only have we improved the user experience, but we are bringing significant efficiencies to programs through machine learning, robotic process automation and artificial intelligence.”
The organization will present Caswell with the award at its Nov. 8 Annual Technology Good Scout Award Luncheon at the Tysons Corner Marriott in Tysons Corner, Virginia. The event also benefits the character-building programs of the Boy Scouts of America National Capital Area Council.
