ICF has acquired CMY Solutions, a power and energy engineering firm that provides technology solutions and data analytics for grid modernization, programs and investments.
“We are pleased to welcome CMY Solutions to ICF,” said ICF Chair and CEO John Wasson. “They strengthen our ability to support utilities’ needs for grid transformation, reliability, resilience and renewables integration in a much more holistic way.”
Founded in 2016, CMY’s team of nearly 50 experts advise senior leaders of utilities and developers across the U.S. Europe and Asia, including investor-owned utilities, electric municipalities and electric cooperatives. They bring strong backgrounds in renewable energy integration, as well as distributed energy resources impact studies and management.
“As one team, we will scale our industry-leading energy service offerings and continue to grow our rapidly expanding technology and data management capabilities across the various markets we serve,” Wasson said.
CMY also brings technical expertise in substation, transmission and distribution system design, protection and control, North American Electric Reliability Corp. compliance, and system planning and capital strategy consulting.
“We have successfully partnered with ICF on multiple projects in the past, with a strong track record of delivering positive outcomes for our clients,” said Bryan Cianchetti, CMY Solutions co-founder. “Our teams share a passion for building a clean energy future and using innovative and technology-enabled solutions ⏤ from design and analysis to implementation.”
