Andy Henson joined SAIC in 2016 as a strategic hire for research and development and served in several innovation-focused roles related to technology development, integration and business model transformation. In his current role, Henson oversees the operationalization of SAIC’s AI ecosystem including technical personnel, strategic partnerships and technology assets.
Most recently, Henson coordinated the successful launch of a new mission-focused AI platform, Tenjin, in collaboration with strategic SAIC partners.
“This was born out of an AI vision launched in 2021 to solve some of our government’s most difficult problems with proven, trusted AI solutions,” Henson said. “This collaborative effort enabled the deployment of SAIC’s new Tenjin platform to solve obstacles across the government space.”
Mark Escobar, executive vice president and chief of business operations for SAIC, described Henson as a deeply committed and mission-focused leader passionate about advancing AI.
“Henson has been a leading force in developing and delivering SAIC’s AI, cloud, cyber, application development and advanced data analytics offerings,” Escobar said. “He is determined to apply AI and create opportunities for our government to execute their missions in a secure space.”

In 2023, Henson will focus on solving the complex challenges our country faces through leveraging mission-focused applications powered by the latest AI. He and his team will work on developing use cases to empower the U.S. government and enhance the country’s workforce through the acceleration of AI capabilities.
“We are in the beginning of one of the greatest technological revolutions of our lifetimes and there has never been a more exciting time to be in the AI and emerging technology field,” Henson said. “It is an honor to be a part of this historical time and do what we can to improve the lives of people along the way.”
