    Paul Klinker

    Executive Director of AI, ManTech

Paul Klinker’s biggest recent achievement was helping develop a generative AI platform ⏤ ManTech Enterprise Smart Assistant, or MESA. MESA provides a safe and secure way for ManTech and its customers to harness the power of the newly emerging generative AI capabilities.

Following the company’s “Proven Here First” approach, MESA was rolled out to unlock information contained in enterprise content and knowledge bases.

“ManTech is building AI into everything we do, and Paul’s work demonstrates our commitment to being the thought leader ⏤ and market leader ⏤ in the applied use of AI for federal agencies,” said Eric Brown, ManTech vice president of innovation and capabilities.

    Why Watch

Klinker and his team are concentrating on the future of AI for ManTech’s clients. This future rests on four fundamental aspects of enterprise AI:

    1. Governance ⏤ overseeing and regulating the models used by the organization.
    2. Security ⏤ specific to AI, like preventing data leaks and resisting injections.
    3. Observability ⏤ tracking who is using the AI and why.
    4. Organizational alignment ⏤ making sure the AI aligns with an organization’s goals, mission and ethical values.

“In my lifetime the world has experienced many ‘life-changing’ technology advances: the World Wide Web, personal computing, and smartphones, to name a few,” Klinker said. “As great as these monumental achievements have proven, they may pale in comparison to the extraordinary possibilities of AI.”
