Vice President of Advanced Analytics & AI, LMI
In 2022, Keith Rodgers had the vision to anticipate, develop and deploy the immense potential of generative artificial intelligence/large language models, nearly a year before many of LMI’s competitors in the market. He led the development of a powerful 12 billion parameter LLM tailored to address present-day government challenges.
By extensively training LMI data science teams, collaborating with renowned universities and swiftly delivering practical solutions to valued customers, LMI outpaced industry newcomers still catching up with ChatGPT and Google’s Bard in early 2023.
“Keith’s superpower is his ability to create a compelling vision and energize and empower his team to get there,” said Kristen Cheman, LMI senior vice president of digital and analytic solutions. “Doing so has led to impactful new solutions for our customers in generative AI, model development and production, and advanced analytics for predictive maintenance, human capital, and edge use cases.”
“He assembled a strong team of superstars to rally around his strategy and more than doubled the size of our Advanced Analytics and Artificial Intelligence organization in the last three years.”
In 2023, Rodgers’ focus is on driving advancements in generative AI through practical tool development, expanding LLM use with safeguards, incorporating Gen-AI into daily data science production and optimizing prompt best practices at scale.
“We live in a time where cutting-edge tools, such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, hold unprecedented potential to solve complex government challenges in still unimaginable ways,” Rodgers said. “We cannot wait to use these tools because the stakes are too high. I am committed to bringing deep domain experience, world class technical expertise, and a commitment to creativity to match inspiring technical solutions with game-changing outcomes for our government.”
