    Jason Adolf, Appian

    Jason Adolf

Industry Vice President of Global Public Sector, Education, and Aerospace, Appian Corp.

The Appian public sector business has experienced tremendous growth in the past year, which includes onboarding three new cabinet-level agencies, including the Department of Veterans Affairs. Jason Adolf has also been working closely with the company’s security and compliance team to invest resources into new certifications that will support global public sector customers.

Appian complies with various federal and state standards, including DOD Impact Levels 4 and 5 and FedRAMP. Most recently, the company achieved StateRAMP, Canada Protected B, UK Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO 9001, Australia’s IRAP and Spain’s National Security Framework accreditations.

“Jason’s leadership and technical expertise have been instrumental in guiding our customers through the modernization of their mission systems,” said Mike Beckley, chief technology officer and founder of Appian.

    Why Watch

Given government data security requirements, the public sector team is educating customers on the benefits of Appian Private AI, a framework where algorithms are trained on data specific to a government agency. In addition to creating a solution purpose built for that agency, data is not shared and does not help create the collective intelligence that is the foundation of most public AI models.

“Government programs do not get less complex over time, and workflows can be cumbersome,” Adolf said. “My team and our partners are laser focused on helping the public sector apply AI-powered process automation to help our civilian and defense customers succeed in their most challenging missions. Many of these customer engagements will be showcased at our upcoming Public Sector Summit, scheduled for Nov. 29 in D.C.”
