Mike Witt
Vice President & Chief Sustainability Officer, Northrop Grumman
Last year marked a series of busy and exciting times for sustainability at Northrop Grumman, especially those efforts led by Mike Witt. In April, Witt announced the company’s latest environmental sustainability goals, which serve as success markers to help the company better measure its progress. The new goals cover areas from net zero operations to sustainable supply chains to partnerships with conservation organizations. All are unique to the industry.
Witt also reinforced stakeholder engagement in sustainability. He established a meeting cadence with Northrop Grumman leaders, providing them with goal progress and opportunities for the company. Witt also engaged with investors, suppliers and customers like NOAA, NASA and the Defense Department.
Witt and his team position Northrop Grumman as an industry leader in areas like environmental footprint reduction, sustainable supplier engagement, and building a business blueprint for progress toward a sustainable future.
Why Watch

“I am extremely proud of the work of my team, building upon Northrop Grumman’s sustainability foundation that has been in place for over a decade and defining a future of sustainable growth that represents our leadership position,” Witt said. “Northrop Grumman is made up of creative minds who draw from their diverse backgrounds to develop some of the most innovative technologies the world has ever seen – technologies that are poised to have a positive impact on our planet.”
