Senior Vice President, Contracts and Pricing, ICF
Since joining ICF in 2020, Karolyn Gardner’s contracts, subcontracts and pricing teams have excelled. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, they seamlessly supported the acquisition of five companies, ensuring smooth integration of contracts and procurement processes. Their efforts contributed to ICF’s continued growth and uninterrupted service to internal and external clients.
Gardner’s team contributes to the company’s growth by building strong partnerships with business units, assisting in winning new work, managing risks and ensuring compliance and happy clients. They prioritize constant collaboration and communication.
Additionally, Gardner played a crucial role as a founding co-chair of the Women’s Employee Community Network, driving ICF’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
“It’s an honor to uplift others to bolster an environment where everyone feels comfortable showing up authentically, which only enhances our work and our impact,” she said.
In 2023, Gardner’s team is dedicated to removing internal process barriers for client teams to ensure seamless project delivery. The team continually evaluates and implements new technology and processes to optimize workflows, from business proposals to project close-out. Its goal is to provide clients with exceptional work by staying current with the latest tools and solutions.
Gardner said she leads an exceptional team of contracts, subcontracts and pricing professionals. And when their knowledge is combined with streamlined systems and processes, engagement and collaboration with colleagues around the world is even stronger.
“There is always something new to learn,” she said. “But when you find inspiration, you find yourself naturally wanting to think and do things ⏤ new, better, and more effectively.”
