Lisa Craven
Director of Contracts, ASM Research, LLC, an Accenture Federal Services Company
Lisa Craven, a retired U.S. Air Force veteran, joined ASM Research after 22 years of service. She quickly rose to become the director of contracts and supported the company through an acquisition. She managed million-dollar contracts and government schedules, handling both prime and subcontract administration.
Despite a smaller contracts department, Craven effectively managed a heavier workload. She handled compliant purchasing, complex negotiations and specific client requirements. Additionally, she successfully transitioned personally and relocated while supporting all business activities. Her exceptional performance resulted in awards from stakeholders in the defense industry.
In addition to teaming with other government primes, Craven is in charge of all contract and subcontract administration for ASM’s prime contracts. Most notably, she finalized a complex 16-month negotiation on ASM’s second-largest contract vehicle, ensuring 15 more years of continuity under a demanding information technology schedule.
“Lisa masterfully oversees complex client negotiations and stays abreast of all contracting requirements,” said John Fraser, president of ASM Research. Additionally, she ensures her team knows not only the mechanics of contracting but also understands the ‘whys’ behind them.”
Why Watch
In 2023, Craven is focused on continuing to engage others in the remote workforce environment. According to Craven, “the lack of physical, human interaction makes it more challenging to stay connected and creative and I’m always striving to strike an optimal balance between remote work and on-site presence. Being present in the moment, staying current with world events and how they affect our industry, is the key to our success.”
“My team and I are always working on refining our current processes and procedures to work smarter and remain compliant with the multitude of federal regulations, rules, and requirements while supporting the business on various programs across the federal space,” she added.
