    Tristan Bannon

Executive Director, Renewable Energy and Climate Technology, Leidos

Tristan Bannon’s biggest recent achievement was developing a federal mission fleet electrification strategy that leverages the engineering expertise from Leidos’ commercial energy business to accelerate federal agencies’ transformation. This resulted in Leidos being selected for several federal fleet electrification projects, including one for the Energy Department’s Hanford nuclear cleanup site.

“Tristan has brought incredible passion, energy and vision to build and execute our climate change strategy,” said Todd Fitzgerald, senior vice president of business development strategy at Leidos. “Because of his work, we’ve seen tremendous response from clients across the spectrum who are turning to Leidos as their trusted partner in this once-in-a-generation transformation.”

    Why Watch

In 2023, Bannon’s team is heavily focused on three core pillars: helping federal agencies develop and execute action-oriented sustainability strategies; developing digital products to deliver value from massive stores of climate data; and leading several federal EV and energy infrastructure pilots into scale.

“At its heart, making an impact on climate change at the scale of the federal government involves planning, designing, integrating, installing and sustaining a huge mix of commercial and bespoke solutions in a mission-intensive environment,” Bannon said. “That’s what Leidos does best.”
