    Steve Orrin, Intel Federal

    Steve Orrin

CTO & Senior Principal Engineer, Intel Federal

Steve Orrin works with government agencies to provide practical guidance and approaches to mission needs, including cybersecurity and supply chain risk management. By helping agencies adopt and scale trustworthy software supply chains, Orrin advises government organizations in addressing these critical needs.

    Why Watch

One of Orrin’s current projects involves advising a customer on the development of resilient edge computing and communications operations in contested distributed edge environments. His team uses advanced technologies to ensure government clients have strong security controls for their edge-to-cloud environments.

Orrin said his personal motto is, “Surround yourself with people who are smarter than you and listen to their feedback.”

“I have the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse team that works across multiple domains to help the federal government adopt today’s technology and plan for the future,” he added. “Our team advises and helps to deploy a range of technology solutions ⏤ from AI and cyber to edge and high-performance computing.”

Orrin is a “trusted advisor for many government agencies on how to solve complex cybersecurity issues and comply with regulations,” said Jim Brinker, president and general manager of Intel Federal.

“He takes the most significant mission challenges and applies novel and innovative approaches to solve them with technology from Intel and our ecosystem partners,” Brinker said.
