David Hathaway’s notable accomplishment is ManTech winning an $862 million contract for full lifecycle maintenance support for TACOM, the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command’s mission-critical systems and vehicles. This work will help maintain a technical advantage for U.S. warfighters and partners, crucial for success in various combat situations.
ManTech uses advanced solutions like predictive analytics to assess the lifespan of each component in military vehicles, enabling timely repairs or replacements. This approach enhances vehicle reliability, contributing to mission success and better performance of forces in combat.

In 2023, the Defense Sector team is heavily focused on AI, digital twinning and model-based systems engineering and machine learning, incorporating these advanced capabilities into its work.
For example, the team useses AI and analytics in cognitive cyber to quickly detect and fix network vulnerabilities, while intelligent systems engineering speeds up the development and deployment of the nation’s Missile Defense System. ManTech aims to integrate AI and ML into solutions that meet mission requirements and set industry and government standards.
