    Matt Hostutler

Vice President & Director of Warfighting Systems Assessment, AMERICAN SYSTEMS

Since joining AMERICAN SYSTEMS in 2015, Matt Hostutler has provided various services and solutions to the federal government, including research, engineering and technology advisory. He has helped expand the company’s technology modernization portfolio into areas like quantum science, biotechnology, space, cyber, hypersonics, microelectronics, and artificial intelligence.

He said he takes pride in hiring diverse leaders for high-tech science and engineering positions. These jobs offer career growth, challenging work and good pay. He believes this diversified leadership will benefit both the company and its customers. By valuing each hire’s unique background, they enable individuals to produce innovative ideas and insights to tackle the toughest technical issues faced by DOD and DHS.

    Why Watch

“Matt has done a great job building trust with his partners and customers by developing and leading complex and diversified teams to innovate and modernize the technology available to our warfighters and law enforcement agencies,” said Peter Smith, president and CEO of AMERICAN SYSTEMS.

Hostutler’s team is concentrating on strengthening relationships with new customers. He attributes his persistent attitude in pursuing new business and enjoying every moment to his daughter, Mya, who overcame brain and spine cancer and is now thriving in 10th grade and participating in various school and community theater productions.

“Mya never takes a moment for granted, seizing every possible opportunity to build new networks and implement fresh ideas,” he said. “I’d like to think that I radiate much of that same spirit when I come to work each and every day.”
