    Kevin McCann

Vice President of Contracts, BAE Systems, Inc.

As the nation emerged from the pandemic, Kevin McCann’s top priority was the employees’ well-being. To ease the transition to a “new normal” workplace, he created an environment where leaders felt empowered to manage their workforce and make decisions to fit their teams’ needs.

“His unparalleled experience, integrity and leadership is critical to the success of our world-class contracts function and the strength of our relationships with our government and commercial partners,” said Alice Eldridge, senior vice president, general counsel and secretary of BAE Systems, Inc.

    Why Watch

In 2023, McCann’s team is heavily focused on continuing to improve automation and digitization capabilities within the contracts function. The team is beginning to implement tools across the function that will further increase the company’s speed and efficiency.

“Surround yourself with good people and good things happen,” McCann said. “I have been lucky in my career to work with amazing mentors, leaders and subject matter experts in the government contracting and aerospace and defense industry ⏤ but, most importantly, great people. BAE Systems has the best group of contracting professionals and the most amazing team of SMEs and functional support across the company that I have ever had the privilege of working with in my career.”
