Michele Cahn
Vice President, Global Government Affairs, Sustainability, Citizenship & Compliance, Xerox Corp.
Michele Cahn recently helped prepare, produce and deliver an educational and informational training module on the science behind climate change and GHG emissions for all Xerox employees worldwide. This is designed to teach employees about the sources of GHG emissions at Xerox and at home.
The training module included information on how Xerox measures its Scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions, what Xerox is doing and plans to do to reduce GHG emissions and mitigate climate risk, and how employees can help. The climate training module is a key foundational block for Xerox becoming net zero by 2040.
“Michele continues Xerox’s pioneering work in ESG, which began with Xerox’s first CEO Joe Wilson,” said Steve Bandrowczak, Xerox CEO. “From climate education for all Xerox employees, to ‘dollars for doers,’ to best-in-class ESG disclosures, Xerox is proud to have Michele and her team leading our efforts to help make our world a little better for everyone.”
Why Watch
In 2023, Cahn and her team aim to create an operational plan to reach net zero by 2040 and set up a system to automatically track greenhouse gas emissions and report on ESG issues. This will help Xerox meet the growing demand for detailed ESG information from stakeholders worldwide.
“It remains a privilege and an honor to lead the Xerox sustainability program with a team of incredibly talented professionals,” she said. “Together with support from the entire Xerox community we have continued to ensure Xerox remains at the forefront of best practices in sustainability regardless of the challenges we have faced. Xerox has led the way since our founding in behaving responsibly as a corporate citizen. It is one of our original core values dating back to the 1960s. I am proud of what we have accomplished, and I look forward to even greater ESG milestones at Xerox over the coming years.”
