Next is Chief Growth Officer finalist in the Private Company: <$100M category Jeff Mujsce, CGO of BryceTech. Here, he talks key achievements, shaping the next generation of industry leaders and more.
What key achievements did you have in 2022/2023?
During 2022 and 2023 I led the teams that helped BryceTech secure significant prime contract wins with the Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (HHS-ASPR), the Joint Program Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense (JPEO-CBRND), and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
As a result of these wins ⏤ as well as many other successes during 2022 and 2023 ⏤ our growth team was able to increase BryceTech’s revenue by 146%, and we more than doubled the size of our workforce.
Most importantly, we established BryceTech as a leading firm in our sector of the GovCon market. We are now viewed as a “go to” teaming partner by some of the leading names in our portion of the business, and high-performing professionals are seeking us out as a destination employer.
What are you most proud of having been a part of in your current organization?
At BryceTech, business development is fully integrated into everything that we do. Our core values ⏤ our focus on our customers’ mission, our emphasis on improving all aspects of our operations and service delivery, and the priority we place on our employees and their career development ⏤ drive our growth. I am proud to have played a key role in building our corporate culture around these values.
I have worked closely with the company’s owners to develop a leadership team that is fully aligned around this approach. In the GovCon space, you are only as good as your reputation.

This doesn’t happen by accident. We have the right people in place to “walk the walk” every hour of every day, and I feel great about the role I played to put this team together.
How do you help shape the next generation of industry leaders?
One of the most critical parts of my job is to expand the circle of BryceTech employees who participate in all aspects of the capture and proposal process. Much of our success has been because we have helped younger employees master the complex skills needed to identify and secure new business opportunities.
I use the phrase “business development is a contact sport” when I talk to our employees about growth. There is no substitute for leading by example.
Every interaction that I have ⏤ either externally with potential customers and prospective teammates ⏤ or internally with the employees who work on our capture efforts, is done with an eye toward conveying our company values of respect, candor and fair dealing.
Developing professionals recognize and respond to the sincerity of my approach, and they trust me to act as a conscientious mentor as I guide them in learning the crucial details that will be a foundation for their future leadership.
