The finalists for WashingtonExec’s Chief Officer Awards were announced March 17, and we’ll be highlighting some of them until the event takes place live, in-person May 10.

Next is CEO finalist in the Private Company: Annual Revenue <$100M category Gautam Ijoor, CEO of Alpha Omega. Here, he shares a bit about Alpha Omega’s growth and successes over the past few years.

Tell us about Alpha Omega’s recent progress, evolution and culture.

As Alpha Omega has grown over the past six years, we continue to evolve. Our mission remains integral to supporting federal agencies with tailored digital transformation and cybersecurity solutions for U.S. national security and global leadership. Our vision keeps growing as well and in 2022 we closed out at $90 million with 50% compound annual growth and $468M contract wins.

We’re very gratified by that but more so by our customer satisfaction rates, promoting our core values, growth in indispensable capabilities, and relationships with our federal customers and partners.

Alpha Omega made tremendous progress last year in enhancing our solution capabilities, with fully established Centers of Excellence across each of our 4 competencies ⏤ Design & Product Management, DevSecOps & Cloud Engineering, AI & Data Management, and Cybersecurity.

We are building communities around each of these areas that are resulting in true subject matter expertise as well as Delivery Playbooks based on proven, repeatable processes. Our CoEs have also begun to churn out IP ⏤ in 2022 we fully deployed our A2O product for full automation of security compliance as well as Perseus, our FedRAMP-certified one-click CI/CD platform.

Another area of maturation is our design practice which works in concert with our mature DevSecOps & Cloud Engineering CoE. We feature a ‘one-click’ CI/CD platform that allows us to ship code on-demand in alignment with best practices of leading commercial entities like Netflix. Alpha Omega’s AI & Platform Automation CoE continues to blossom. Understanding how vital cybersecurity is to our nation’s operations and way of life, we have built a cyber CoE that positions us to provide full-lifecycle cybersecurity solutions to our customers. The CoEs are hard at work developing additional IP that will be released later this year.

Alpha Omega culture is one where every employee is passionate about taking ownership in customer success. I’m so proud of the purposeful culture of Alpha Omega, one of learning, service and relationship building. My role as CEO is the captain of the ship but the success of the organization comes from allowing our very capable executive team and staff to do their jobs and execute with confidence and rigor.

As part of our maturation as a company we have worked to define accountability to gain mileage, traction and clarity. We are expanded our executive roles to include a chief delivery officer, CHRO and COO to focus on high-performing back-office teams, staff, and recruiting as we grow and continue to focus on our customers and their missions.

Alpha Omega remains committed to our core values and extends them outward in service to others. Several years ago, we started working with N Street Village to support women in need of a new start through re-skilling and employment opportunities. I saw us reconnect with the community and donate time, effort and money with N Street Village and other giving back initiatives like Ashiyana, Touch of Life, McDonald Bradley House of Charities 5K red shoe, the Children’s Inn at NIH, Lymphoma and Leukemia society, National Kidney Foundation and Childhelp.
