Matt Jones’ biggest recent achievement was completing the successful integration of three companies: Sigma Defense, SOLUTE and Sub-U, with nearly 400 employees into a unified team focused on delivering for customers.
“Integrating multiple organizations through acquisition is never easy, but we have an amazing team that was able to align all corporate functions and benefits while dramatically reducing turnover,” Jones said.
The Sigma Defense team is aligned toward a common mission and ready to deliver in 2023, he added.
Raj Kanodia, managing director at Sagewind Capital, said the Sigma Defense team has had “tremendous growth,” a testament to Jones’ vision and leadership.
“I’m excited for 2023, as we have the right team in place to bring new capabilities to market for JADC2, DevSecOps and C5ISR,” he added.

In 2023, Jones and his team are heavily focused on continuing to grow the company’s leadership role within the Joint All Domain Command and Control construct. Sigma Defense has successfully blended modern software and complex communications systems to push “sense, make sense and act” to the edge while transporting data back to decision-makers.
Sigma Defense uses its DevSecOps framework to build a vendor-neutral ecosystem that enables continuous integration, deployment and ATO capabilities. The company’s primary focus is creating an environment that provides servicemen and -women with access to vital information.
