Andy Green is responsible for HII’s national security solutions in C5ISR, big data, unmanned systems, electronic warfare, space, advanced modeling and simulation, fleet sustainment and nuclear services.
In 2022, HII integrated Alion Science and Technology into its business, rebranded to reflect its evolving capabilities and renamed the division Mission Technologies.
Mission Technologies also celebrated a number of technological innovations in 2022 ⏤ from artificial intelligence analytics for maintaining the U.S. Navy’s fleet to Advanced Nano Cricket computer hardware. Its Unmanned Systems business group also debuted the REMUS 620 medium unmanned underwater vehicle, introduced the Odyssey suite of advanced autonomy solutions and demonstrated Pharos, a vehicle for the launch and recovery of UUVs.
When thinking about Mission Technologies’ accomplishments in 2022, Green said three things come to mind: integration, growth and people. The company has fully integrated Alion Science and Technology into its business and fine-tuned its capabilities as the nation’s leading partner for advanced mission technology solutions, he said.
“At the same time, we increased revenues by more than 60%, surpassing $2 billion for the first time ever,” he added. “None of this would have been possible without our workforce of more than 7,000 in 45 states and 13 countries around the world. I’m proud of last year’s success and excited for the future.”
