    Rocky Thurston, DMI

    Rocky Thurston

    Chief Operating Officer, DMI

Rocky Thurston’s biggest recent achievement was DMI’s transformation into what is it now calling DMI 2.0.

DMI underwent an extensive organizational transformation that included several steps such as reorganizing its commercial business, acquiring and integrating two government contracting firms, acquiring a managed services company, and developing new corporate and industry strategies. The transformation resulted in a new business model that accelerated growth, increased revenue and margin, and attracted top industry talent.

“DMI is poised to deliver more for existing clients and to provide advanced digital transformation services to new clients,” Thurston said. “We will drive commercial technologies into the public sector and bring the security and scale into the private sector. “

    Why Watch

The IT services market is cluttered with large systems integrators and consultancies. DMI thinks this helps it stand out more.

“DMI is a rare company that sits at the intersection of the commercial business and the public sector,” Thurston said. “My resolution is to create major brand recognition for our customers, employees, and company.”

“We are in an extraordinary position to solve many of our nation’s challenges and deploy real tech into the hands of those on the front lines. I want us to be recognized as the company that delivers digital transformation at any scale and is a competitive force in the market. We will become the company that customers want to hire and talent wants to join.”
