John Wasson

Chair and CEO, ICF

For over 30 years, John Wasson played an integral role in the success and growth momentum of ICF, a $1.5+ billion publicly traded global consulting and technology services provider with approximately 9,000 employees worldwide.

Since becoming CEO in 2019, Wasson has aggressively delivered on ICF’s corporate growth strategy of bringing ICF’s unique combination of domain expertise plus technology, digital solutions and advanced analytics to create practical programs with strong impact.

In 2022, amid tremendous global health, social, economic and environmental challenges, Wasson renewed the company’s emphasis on developing sustainable, impactful solutions. And to much success: Through his leadership, ICF has grown and greatly expanded its array of capabilities and services.

Why Watch

ICF is a mission-driven organization and Wasson remains committed to its purpose. He grows ICF through its values and challenging the status quo to deliver positive change for clients, communities and organizations.

Over the last three years, Wasson has acquired four of the leading digital modernization providers and added over 1,000 new technologists to the firm. In 2022 alone, ICF acquired three of the four companies: ESAC, Creative Systems & Consulting and SemanticBits.

The alignment of ICF’s domain expertise and cross-cutting technology capabilities, together with a strong business development pipeline, underscores 2023 being another year of significant growth for the company

“It’s an incredibly exciting time of tremendous opportunity and growth for ICF,” Wasson said. “We are working on the leading issues of the day and fulfilling our purpose to build a more prosperous and resilient world for all.”
