Leigh Palmer joined Google Public Sector in summer of 2022. She considers being invited to help the Defense Department in evolving its operations through the Joint Warfighting Cloud Capability contract as one of her biggest recent achievements.
She is incredibly proud of the work Google Public Sector has done to meet DOD’s delivery and compliance requirements, including the recent announcement of IL5 provisional authorization across nine supported regions and 38 zones.
“For 30 years, I’ve had the privilege of leading high-performing teams within the systems integrator community to serve the needs of our government customers,” she said. “I’m excited to bring my deep industry experience, paired with Google’s incredible technical depth and innovation, to support important government missions.”

In 2023, Palmer and her team are focused on delivering Google’s artificial intelligence, security, data analytics, collaboration and multicloud capabilities to meet government needs. They work with Google’s go-to-market teams, including top industry and technical experts, to bring the best of Google to the government’s mission.
Google has proven experience in helping commercial and public sector customers, and Palmer said she is thrilled for the opportunity to continue to deliver its engineering know-how to solve government’s toughest challenges.
