Shaveta Joshi
Chief Human Resources Officer, ASRC Federal
Shaveta Joshi has worked to reinforce her company’s cohesive culture during the pandemic while also implementing new processes and programs that benefit all employees and their communities.
First, she worked to ensure employees got opportunities to build meaningful connections throughout the unexpected transition to hybrid or remote work, in part by launching new employee resources groups, including a multicultural ERG, a military community ERG and a pride ERG. With a focus on connection and stewardship, Joshi joined the board of March of Dimes’ March for Babies campaign and piloted a new employee giving initiative that funded teacher projects in communities across the country.
Amid the pandemic, Joshi also administered an all-employee survey and deploying an advanced vaccination tracking tool that recorded vaccination statuses of over 7,000 employees. Additionally, she oversaw development of a new onboarding experience, launched an internal workforce connections program and spearheaded the development of an employee self-service portal on the company’s intranet.
Why Watch
Joshi believes HR should serve the employee population and be integral to all facets of the business.
“Without a seat at the table and interdepartmental partnership, none of our recent new programs would have been possible,” she said.
This year, Joshi’s team has been hard at work preparing to launch ASRC Federal’s first ever DE&I report, detailing plans to ensure all employees are supported and valued.
“Our team is the foundation of our success, and supporting each individual by creating connection and opportunity is essential to driving results and exceeding our customers’ expectations,” she said.
