    Janet Brewer, Arcfield

    Janet Brewer

    Chief People Officer, Arcfield

At the time the company was divested, Arcfield Chief People Officer Janet Brewer was one of only two leaders supporting corporate functions, and the remaining 1,100 employees made up the direct workforce. For Brewer, that meant many timecards to approve and many seats to fill. Now, nine months later, the full leadership team is in place, the functional teams are almost fully staffed, and the company is maintaining competitive retention rates.

Major accomplishments so far in 2022 include launching the company learning portfolio Arcfield Academy, kicking off a robust and dynamic intranet platform called The Arcway and starting a modern rewards and recognition tool named Appreciate.

Brewer says having a combined HR/marketing and communications team has provided an exceptional opportunity to leverage the synergies and power of these two areas of expertise.

    Why Watch

Over the next few months, Brewer and her team will implement new HR software technologies to ensure the organization runs more efficiently, creates more personalized and targeted employee experiences and scales as the company grows.

“Building a company from the ground up is a unique and exciting opportunity, and I am thrilled to be part of the team defining who and what we want to be,” Brewer said. “I’ve aligned our people strategy to our corporate imperatives of collaboration, growth and innovation to deliver on the mission — both for our people and our customers.”
