    Heather Ellison, IDEMIA NSS

    Heather Ellison

Vice President of Human Resources, IDEMIA National Security Solutions

Heather Ellison and her team were instrumental in implementing the valuable infrastructure of the people, processes and procedures necessary to grow and scale the business. This included the deployment of an applicant tracking system and designing a compensation, retention and workforce planning strategy to attract and retain people in a highly competitive market, during the Great Resignation.

As a result of these efforts, IDEMIA NSS is positioned for growth on current government contracts in 2022 as well as new contract award opportunities in 2022-23 and beyond.

Ellison takes great pride in the security solutions IDEMIA NSS provides to U.S. government customers and admires the passion of the team. Ellison’s core belief is that, “in order to build a rewarding employee experience, you need to understand what matters the most to your people.” To help achieve that, she and her team conducted employee surveys and took the results to heart.

    Why Watch

Under Ellison’s leadership, the HR team is focused on continuing its people-first approach by providing a variety of professional development initiatives. A top priority is the development and implementation of a program management center of excellence training agenda that will consist of the training fundamentals for managing new contract awards.

In conjunction with the engineering management team, the HR team is developing and implementing career paths for the engineering roles. Additionally, Ellison and team will focus on curating the Department of Defense SkillBridge Program to connect service members with a fulfilling position to leverage and expand their knowledge and skills.
