    Tim Potier, Parsons

    Tim Potier

    Chief Information Security Officer, Parsons

Throughout a 25-year career, Tim Potier has built and worked with exceptional teams and support projects critical to U.S. national security.

A recent accomplishment he’s most proud of was the establishment of the Business Information Security Office. The BISO has transformed security from a centralized corporate function into a business-integrated core service bringing differentiation, security awareness and value to Parsons’ diverse portfolio. The creation of the BISO has shifted the perception of security from a necessary burden to an enabler of calculated risk-taking and success.

“Tim Potier is a world-class chief security officer, driving the innovation at the core of Parsons into all our security programs to ensure a secure, compliant corporate architecture,” said Parsons CEO Carey Smith. “From his standup of our BISO function to advancing understanding of cybersecurity protocols into our business units and across our entire workforce, Tim has truly operationalized our corporate cybersecurity framework.”

    Why Watch

The year 2022 will be an exciting year for Parsons as it builds on the strong foundation of zero trust architecture established in 2021 and extends that security model further into the technology stack. Parsons will continue to rapidly advance its threat intelligence capability, taking an increasingly collaborative leadership role in cyber domains where the company’s experience contributes to the mission of the security community.

“I count myself extremely lucky to be surrounded by a team of talented and passionate security professionals, and to have the unwavering support of Parsons executive leadership team and board of directors,” Potier said.
