    Stuart Kippelman

    CIO, Parsons Corp.

Stuart Kippelman and his team have been on a multiyear journey to transform Parsons into a complete digitally enabled company. They have migrated the majority of applications and data to the cloud and cloud services, modernized and streamlined significant portions of the infrastructure, and rolled out many new automation tools and capabilities.

This has made employees more productive and allowed Parsons to leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning to provide new business insights. A major portion of this success is because of the IT rollout of scaled agile, providing not just the proper business alignment but allowing the integration of IT and business teams to proactively prioritize what’s most important to Parsons’ customers.

“The real goal of IT is to deliver the right data, to the right person, at the right time so they can make accurate and better business decisions,” Kippelman said. “With that in mind, we will continue to invest in all types of business analytics and automation so we can truly change the game.”

    Why Watch

Parsons’ digital transformation continues and accelerates, and Kippelman said the teams are doing an amazing job. Kippelman and his team are now fine-tuning and leveraging the framework to accelerate the work they do across all of IT, which is transforming business efficiency and allowing new IT capabilities to be introduced much faster than before.

Going forward, they will be accelerating the modernization of business applications to ensure employees can get access to any data they need, wherever they are.

“We have seen tremendous value from all of our IT transformation efforts, but we are far from done and will never be satisfied,” Kippelman said. “The IT strategy is focused on the accelerated delivery of business capabilities and improving employee productivity. I expect significant achievements in these areas as we move forward.”
