    Jeffrey Zack, LMI

    Jeffrey Zack

    CIO, LMI

At LMI, Jeffrey Zack has led the CIO organization transformation from siloed contributors to an integrated team partnering with internal customers to achieve their business goals. The CIO organization offers business value while controlling costs and reducing risk.

“Our team has realigned strategically as IT business partners for our major internal stakeholders to better understand our customers’ business problems and create innovative, technology-based solutions,” Zack said. “We’ve adopted an organization-wide agile approach, monitoring all tasks during recurring standup meetings.”

These tasks roll into LMI’s Information, Technology & Security Roadmap, supplying top management with complete end-to-end visibility for its efforts. These changes enable maximum scalability as LMI grows into a modern, digital enterprise.

“Over the course of my 30 years of federal IT consulting, this effort has been the greatest opportunity to bring the back office closer to the front office by aligning the CIO organization to LMI’s lines of digitized business,” Zack said.

    Why Watch

Zack’s team is evolving from siloed contributors to IT business partners and, eventually, change agents to better align with the business. When he transferred to the CIO role, LMI had a deeply talented IT organization delivering high-quality products. Now, LMI not only does things right, but it does “the right things for the business and our customers,” Zack said.

“Under Jeff’s leadership, LMI is able to consistently evolve our digital business strategy to further enable our employees and customers to remain ahead of the pace of change,” said Suzan Cengiz, LMI’s chief performance officer.
