Mark Valcich is highly focused on mission value in his work with the U.S. federal technology and contracting ecosystem. He works with government leaders, solution architects and engineers to promote innovation and deploy the latest in open, secure and interoperable technology.
Valcich worked closely with Old Dominion University to develop its OneAPI Center of Excellence in partnership with Intel. The program is focused on research and development, as well as hands-on experience for graduate students, training them on cross-architecture programming using Intel’s OneAPI programming model.
The program supports government agencies on the forefront of innovation, like NASA, and strengthens the talent pipeline, producing graduates well-equipped to handle issues critical to national security.
As a company, Intel is committed to enhancing the security of the nation’s supply chain with investments in U.S. manufacturing via Intel Foundry Services.
“Increasing the manufacturing of silicon within the United States is critical to bolstering our nation’s supply chain and ensuring we have the technology needed to keep us safe,” Valcich said.
Valcich is an active and engaged industry participant, serving as a member of the Washington Homeland Security Roundtable as well as the American Council for Technology, Industry Advisory Council.
