    Bill Mertz, CACI

    Bill Mertz

Vice President, Supply Chain, CACI International

Navigating the ongoing supply chain disruption the world currently faces has been challenging, but Bill Mertz has leveraged his longstanding partnerships and developed new strategic procurement avenues to mitigate risks while keeping a close eye on forecasting and future customer needs.

Over the past 10 years at CACI, Mertz has demonstrated expertise in supply chain and procurement. In 2021, he was promoted to his current position, a key role as CACI builds on its growth strategy and continued recognition as a next-generation technology provider in the industry.

After purchasing and integrating AVT and Mastodon, manufacture of high-end technology is a key growth area for CACI. Mertz was integral in the due diligence and integration of these acquisitions in addition to four others in the past three years.

    Why Watch

Mertz’s core focus is to take CACI’s supply chain departments to the next level as the company invests in a new enterprisewide platform to support the business, customer needs and acquisition strategy. Aligning disparate systems and designing synchronized enterprise processes will elevate CACI and ensure alignment for better go-to-market offerings and efficient delivery.

Mertz is building on the foundation he created when he set up the category management team at CACI, which has allowed CACI to capitalize on volume discounts and streamline repetitive procurements, and ultimately save the company millions of dollars. The key strategic partnerships Mertz has helped develop have led to new business wins for CACI and positions the company for success for years to come.
