WashingtonExec has awarded Cadmus Senior Vice President of Corporate Development Peter Jardine with the Longevity Award, which recognizes executives who made outstanding contributions to their companies throughout the years.
Jardine celebrates 22 years with Cadmus this month. He leads Cadmus’ mergers and acquisitions activity, from identification and assessment of all potential strategic acquisitions through deal execution. Jardine also leads other critical corporate development activities across the global organization, such as the strategic planning process. Additionally, he oversees global governance requirements and activities for Cadmus’ various U.S. and international entities and subsidiaries.
Jardine initially joined Cadmus as a client-facing consultant because of the work Cadmus was doing ⏤ making a positive impact within the framework of an entrepreneurial firm. He stayed because of its mission and the people.
“Cadmus never wavers on its mission to strengthen society and the natural world, which is reason enough to stay,” he said. “But beyond that, Cadmus is deeply collaborative. We work on highly complex and important work together with our clients and our colleagues across practice areas. Trust and camaraderie run throughout Cadmus, instilling confidence that everyone is deeply committed to the work and each other, thereby ensuring the best outcome. It creates a truly positive and rewarding environment.”
Cadmus’ positive environment is built upon relationships developed over decades. Cadmus is celebrating its 40th year and has acquired and integrated eight firms to date, with more on the way, so strong fellowship among colleagues is vital to the company’s culture.
Watching people’s careers at Cadmus evolve, informed by their exposure from working on a variety of projects, is a source of pride for Jardine. Similar to his own career trajectory at the firm, his colleagues’ individualized career paths within Cadmus underscore the important connections across divisions and projects, showcasing opportunities that only come from being with an organization long enough to explore options and craft a professional track that serves the individual, the organization and the client.
“Cadmus’ growth over the past 22 years couldn’t have happened the way it did without Peter,” said Cadmus President and CEO Ian Kline. “His incisive judgment, forward-thinking perspective, and exceptional insights into our industry have laid the foundation for a series of high-impact mergers and acquisitions that make Cadmus stronger and create outstanding opportunities for the founders and employees of the companies that join us. It’s because of executives like Peter that we’re able to assemble the group of extraordinary consultants our clients need to achieve their critical missions.”
In a time when job hopping happens more than ever, this top list recognizes the longevity executives have had at companies and celebrates big milestones like 10, 15 and 20+ years with the same organization. We highlight the impact that comes with longstanding commitments to one company, and how it contributes to organizational growth, culture, mentorship, and knowledge sharing. But more importantly, we celebrate the journey of evolving and growing with a company’s success.
WashingtonExec is honored to present this award to Jardine to celebrate his decades of career excellence.
Congratulations, Peter!
