CTO, NTT Data
“As a global company, the depth and breadth of our capabilities is incredible,” said Nat Bongiovanni. “NTT DATA is always looking into the future to find ways to protect, innovate and serve our clients with advanced technologies and capabilities. I am fortunate to be part of a forward-thinking organization that helps so many in so many ways.”
Bongiovanni’s biggest achievement this year was spearheading the company’s cybersecurity initiatives across the world. He said it’s exciting to be an integral part of the company’s NTT DATA Global Zero Trust Working Group that provides leading-edge cybersecurity capabilities.
“So many great minds working together to make a difference in the world,” he said. “NTT is one of the top data center operators in the world. Roughly 40% of the world’s data travels through one of our data centers. This gives incredible insight into the who, what, where and how attacks are happening. Of course, this means that we also have the best and brightest working on protecting assets and preventing attacks.”
Bongiovanni has brought that worldwide insight together to provide practical and cost-effective measures to protect his company, clients and the U.S. critical infrastructure. Zero trust architecture, identity and access management, and endpoint management are table stakes, which is why he said he believes NTT DATA should be on the radar for anyone interested in cybersecurity in 2023.
For many years, the company’s focus has been on three key areas: cloud/infrastructure, cybersecurity and modernization. Because of that commitment, Bongiovanni’s team is ready to help clients achieve their mission objectives through the safe, efficient use of advanced technologies.
“Nat is a rare combination of superior technical knowledge and practical implementation,” said NTT DATA Federal Services President Kevin Durkin. “He understands each unique client environment and provides realistic guidance.”
