Exovera has hired former Amentum executive Christine Fuentes as its vice president for marketing and communications.

In her role, Fuentes will lead all marketing and communications activities including brand strategy, marketing, media relations, digital media, crisis communications and corporate social responsibility.

“Exovera is on the threshold of revolutionizing intelligence with game-changing solutions,” Fuentes said. “It’s inspiring to be part of a team of professionals that not only does amazing technical work, but also believes deeply in the mission.”

Fuentes brings more than 20 years of experience building marketing and communications programs for organizations within the public and private sectors. She most recently served as Amentum’s vice president of marketing and communications and launched and built the Amentum brand following its 2020 spinoff from AECOM. She also served as an account director for DARPA and the Energy Department at Spire Communications and was public relations manager at Telos Corp.

“Christine is an exceptionally qualified leader who brings more than two decades of national security experience and a proven track record of building successful brands to the company,” said Bob Sogegian, Exovera CEO. “I’m confident she’ll rapidly build greater awareness of our brand in the government market and position us to accelerate growth in the commercial market as well.”

Fuentes began her career in the U.S. Air Force as the deputy director of public affairs at the Air Armament Center at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida.
