Buchanan & Edwards’ Mohamed Elansary Receives WashingtonExec’s Longevity Award

WashingtonExec’s JD Kathuria presents BE’s Mohamed Elansary with a Longevity Award.

WashingtonExec has awarded Buchanan & Edwards Chief Growth Officer Mohamed Elansary with the Longevity Award, which recognizes executives who have made outstanding contributions to their companies throughout the years.

Elansary has been with BE for nearly 10 years. What initially drew him to BE was that the founders had a similar background working for the “Big 5” ⏤ they worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers and Elansary worked for Arthur Andersen. He recognized their shared approach to growing accounts from the inside, by focusing on the customer and the mission.

“We collectively promoted and nurtured consulting mindsets ⏤ which is very similar to BE’s Growth Mindset,” he said.

Throughout the years, as the company grew and evolved, its dedication and focus on the customer, mission and employees never changed. That’s why Elansary stuck around. BE has been very supportive of professional development, and as a lifelong learner, he appreciated that.

“BE’s founders, who currently serve on the board of directors, still continue to instill that consulting mindset that was implemented nearly 25 years ago,” Elansary said. “This dedication is what has kept me at BE all these years.”

Elansary’s time at BE has also been full of experiences. He has held many different leadership positions ⏤ from running operations to leading business development, which taught him not to worry about “the bumps in the road” and “to not sweat the small stuff.”

“If you keep your head down and focus on the work, everything will typically be OK,” He said. “Whether it’s the ongoing CRs, government shutdowns, or even a pandemic . . . our smart team will work together to figure it out.”

And with anything, Elansary believes the longer you do something, the more experience and knowledge you obtain. He has gained a lot of institutional knowledge at BE, and has the performance to show for it.

Elansary recently worked with his team to successfully transition BE from a graduated 8(a) and small business, to a thriving mid-tier.

“Now, as a 100% full and open business, we’re competing with the ‘bigs’ and holding our own,” he said. “I couldn’t be prouder of our entire team, and I’m looking forward to seeing our company continue to thrive and grow while developing the next generation of BE leaders!”

In a time when job hopping happens more than ever and phrases like “quiet quitting” have become popular, the Longevity Award honors an executive’s long-standing commitments to one company. This award recognizes their contributions to organizational growth, culture, mentorship, and knowledge sharing; plus, the journey of evolving and growing with an organization’s success.

WashingtonExec is honored to present this award to Elansary to celebrate his decades of career excellence.

    Congratulations, Mohamed!
