    Tim Patterson, IW

    Tim Patterson

    Chief Growth Officer, Intelligent Waves

Tim Patterson’s greatest recent achievement as chief growth officer is aligning the business and team to win in the full and open arena. As a successful Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, Intelligent Waves is pivoting to new contract vehicles and mechanisms with customers. That requires the right team and focus, and Patterson said they are bringing in exceptional team members that have success with size and scale while also refining core capabilities into five distinct pillars that provide focus while IW continues to achieve over 15% growth in 2022.

“In his role as chief growth officer, Tim has been highly effective at moving IW up the value chain by innovating in inspiring a growth culture across the organization,” said IW CEO Tony Crescenzo. “Under Tim’s leadership, IW is experiencing the fastest growth in its history.”

    Why Watch

In 2022, Patterson and his team are focused on expanding IW’s capabilities across its customer base in the Air Force, the Defense Information Systems Agency and the special operations community with cybersecurity, data science, platform mission support, software development, enterprise networks and system engineering.

“The key to growth is innovation, and innovation means never getting too comfortable with the status quo,” Patterson said. “It’s about constantly pushing and asking how we can improve. Is there another approach that would be more efficient or provide better outcomes? To me, it goes back to the culture. An innovative culture is never happy with where they are but is always looking ahead to where they want to be. That’s what IW is all about.”
